Description : Pragyan Public School, Jewar organized an online Cyber Security Webinar under the National Cyber Security Awareness Week. The aim of this webinar was to spread awareness among students about safe online practices and digital vigilance.Students from classes 9 to 12 attended the session in the school auditorium, while students from classes 6 to 8 participated from their respective classrooms. Mrs. Laxmi Singh, Police Commissioner of Gautam Buddha Nagar, addressed the students and explained the major causes of cybercrimes and preventive measures. She stated that ignorance, weak passwords, phishing emails, unsecured Wi-Fi, and oversharing personal information on social media are the main causes of cybercrimes. She advised adopting strong passwords, two-factor authentication, avoiding suspicious links, using antivirus software and VPNs, and maintaining restraint on social media.Principal Dr. Deepti Sharma advised students to stay alert in the digital world and to immediately inform parents or the police about any suspicious activity. Manager Dr. Harish Kumar Sharma also encouraged students to remain vigilant about cyber security and to become responsible digital citizens. Sub-Inspector Awadhesh Kumar Singh from Jewar Police Station shared real-life incidents and provided practical tips to help students stay safe online.
