Description : Pragyan Public School, Jewar, hosted a dynamic Inter-House Sports Competition brimming with enthusiasm, athletic spirit, and sportsmanship. The event was inaugurated by School Manager Dr. Harish Kumar Sharma, Principal Dr. Deepti Sharma, and Treasurer Mr. Amol Kumar Sharma with the formal introduction of the participants. Students from all six houses—Gandhi, Nehru, Vivekanand, Kalam, Tagore, and R.K.—participated enthusiastically in kabaddi and various athletics events including long jump, high jump, discus throw, and shot put across Under-12, Under-14, and Under-17 categories. In kabaddi, Gandhi House emerged victorious in the U-12 Boys' category, while Tagore House secured the runners-up position. In the U-14 Boys' category, Nehru House clinched first place and Vivekanand House stood second. In athletics, particularly U-17 Boys’ Discus Throw, Tagore House’s Kartik Dagar (12th C1) secured 1st position with a throw of 26.10 meters. Kalam House’s Manoj (8th A) won 2nd place with a 25.80-meter throw. Gandhi House’s Monu Bhati (10th A) achieved 3rd position with a 20.80-meter throw. In U-17 Girls’ Discus Throw, R.K. House’s Vanshika (11th C1) bagged 1st place with a throw of 12.38 meters. Gandhi House’s Lavi (12th C1) secured 2nd position with a throw of 11.44 meters. Tagore House’s Nidhi Attri (11th C1) earned 3rd place with a 10.70-meter throw. Throughout the competition, the students displayed outstanding discipline, teamwork, leadership, and resilience, embodying the true spirit of sports. The event was expertly conducted under the able guidance of Mr. Gajendra Singh Yadav, Head of the Physical Education Department, with active support from faculty members Mr. Vijay Sharma, Ms. Sonia Kochar, Mr. Priyank Saxena, Mr. Praveen Sharma, Ms. Meenakshi, Mr. Azad, Mr. Vinay, Mr. Vishal, Mr. Naushad, and Mr. Chhatrasal. In today’s morning assembly, all winners and participants were felicitated with awards and certificates, inspiring all students to continue striving for excellence both on and off the field.
