Description : PPS JEWAR,17TH JULY 2023.Pragyan Public School, Jewar, organised an Inter-House STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering,Art and Mathematics) based project and model making competition in its Atal Tinkering Lab. A number of students from all houses participated in the competition. The STEAM based competition was held to sharpen the innovative skills of the students. The competition started at 8:30 a.m.and was open to all the students of the school till 10:30 a.m. The Principal of the school Mrs Deepti Sharma gave a commencement speech and announced that the best exhibits would be selected for the District Science Foundation, G B Nagar to display in their labs. As the competition started, all house students presented their projects/Models. Vivekananda house presented the Steam Power Plant,the Tagore House presented a Systematic Garbage Collector based on 3-R Technology. Radhakrishnan house presented the model on a Home made Washer. Gandhi house displayed an Air Cooler. Apart from models, the students also organised visual presentations to help everyone understand the concepts of their working models. Science teachers, along with the Principal, went around looking at the different models designed by the students and assessed the descriptions given by the students. Mrs Deepti Sharma gave a speech on the importance of the contributions of the young generations to the field of science and technology. At the end of the competition, upon careful inspection of the different models and projects, the jury selected the best three projects from all 4 houses respectively. Everyone who participated in the exhibition were given certificates and mementoes for their excellent efforts. The competition ended with the Principal delivering a speech extending her appreciation for teachers and congratulating all the students who participated in the exhibition. Mr Praveen Kumar was the Competition Incharge while it was co-ordinated by Ms. Neetu.Mr Gajendra Kumar co-ordinated as the Discipline Incharge.
