Description : Jewar - April 21, 2023 Earth Day was celebrated on 21st April at Pragyan Public School, to remind the students of their duties towards ‘Mother Nature.’ As a part of environmental education, "Go- Green" initiative was taken to engage the whole school community in making a difference. Earth Day was celebrated through educational and action-oriented activities that were fun. Students of Pragyan Public School celebrated the power of green by singing mellifluous songs in the morning assembly. GIIS students shared a slideshow with the guest school on nature conservation. Banners and colourful charts were put up, reading "Go Green" and "Plant a tree today". Children learnt the importance of preserving the planet earth. Students expressed their views by making short speeches in both English and Hindi. A myriad of activities were conducted in the classes. Colouring activity and competition was conducted for Pre-primary students. Students of classes Nursery and II have done many activities like Colouring, Dancing and Singing.of Rhymes. Students of Classes III and V have done 'Sapling Plantation Activity', in which students participated with great enthusiasm. In Classes VI to VIII, students made models, written slogans on ‘Every Day, Earth Day’ and also gave wonderful presentations. Special Assembly was conducted in the school auditorium and students took the oath on Earth Day to protect the earth from pollution. Respected Manager Sir, Mr Harish Kumar Sharma and Principal ma'am, Ms Deepti Sharma added the finishing touch by addressing the students emphasizing the importance of afforestation, planting of trees and the need for everyone to put together their efforts and get into action, in protecting our environment.
