Description : A workshop on ' Informal Screening' was organized in Pragyan Public School ,to sensitize all the staff members regarding the role of teachers as diagnostician and facilitator who understands every child's potential. The Resource Person, Ms Asha Sangal, Developmental therapist and special educator at Shiv Nadar School Noida was welcomed by honourable Manager Sir Mr. Harish Kumar Sharma and Respected Principal ma'am, Ms Deepti Sharma. Through her own case studies she discussed about diagnosis of a child by educator,Special educator who has been identified with some deviant learning skills and behaviours. She also discussed about intervention,parents counseling and family dynamics. By giving solution she added up that we should not lable a child. We need to be careful about our vocabulary. The key goal of the session was to understand disability as condition not a disease. Through informal assessment, IEP(Individualistic Education Plan) can be executed. The Manager, Mr Harish Kumar Sharma and the Principal, Ms Deepti Sharma applauded Ms.Asha Sangal for such a wonderful session.
