Description : A workshop on ‘Classroom Management’ was organised for senior wing teachers at Pragyan Public School Jewar on 23rd March, 2023 . It was conducted by HOD Social Science Mr.Dheeraj Singh who enlightened the teachers with tips on effective classroom management.The workshop was attended by wing incharge Ms.Soniya Kochcher, Wing coordinator Mr.Ashok Sharma,HOD Science Mr.Praveen Sharma,HOD Hindi Mr.Neeraj Talan ,AAC English Ms.Kavita Sinha,AAC S.St Mr.C.B.Singh and all other senior teachers. The workshop focused on the elements of classroom management which include- content management and conduct management. Arranging the physical setting for teaching is a logical starting point for classroom management like be sure that students can be seen easily by the teacher,keep frequently used teaching materials and student supplies readily accessible. Mr. Dheeraj Singh emphasised that there are innovative methods of teaching that are available at hand and teachers should be curious enough to find out about and use them. The responsibilities and duties of teachers must be parallel to the needs and the creative minds of the children. Teachers also have the added responsibility of understanding the ever-growing and animated mind of a child.He suggested the teachers to engage and motivate their students. There was emphasis on addressing the concerns of students and reducing stress by substituting punishments with consequences. The workshop was an interactive one which helped the teachers devise innovative strategies which can be applied in real classroom situations. Overall, it was an excellent refresher for the teachers.
