Description : Jewar - 10 February 2023 / Dhruv Tewatia, an alumnus of Pragyan Public School Jewar, has won in "Discus Throw" competition in 'Khelo India Youth Games-2023' held in Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) from 3 February 2023 to 5 February 2023. By performing excellently in the competition, he has brought laurels to the school and the region by securing the sixth position.The school felicitated its former student Dhruv Teotia for his outstanding performance in the 'Discus Throw' competition in the 'Khelo India Youth Games'. Mr. Dheeraj Singh, the father of Dhruv Teotia and the head of the humanities department of the school, was also honored on the occasion. All the teachers congratulated Mr. Dheeraj Singh and blessed his talented son Dhruv Teotia for winning the gold medal in the Olympic Games for the country by doing his best at the national and international level. Mr. Dheeraj Singh, father of Dhruv Tewatia, resident of village Gothni, Bulandshahar, told that Dhruv has been inclined towards sports since childhood. Seeing the trend towards sports, he encouraged Dhruv to do well in sports and also provided facilities for training etc. He told that Dhruv Teotia participated in the 56th 'Uttar Pradesh State Annual Junior Athletics-2022' organized from 17 to 18 October 2022 in Kaushambi (Uttar Pradesh) while achieving success in school level and district level discus throw competitions and performing his best, won the gold medal and made his place for the national level. After that he achieved 6th position in 37th National Junior Athletics-2022 held at Guwahati (Assam) from 11 November 2022 to 15 November 2022. On the basis of Dhruv's excellent performance skills in this competition, he was automatically selected in 'Khelo India'. He participated in the discus throw competition in the Khelo India Youth Games and bagged sixth position with his best performance. On this occasion, Dhruv Teotia said that he got the inspiration for sports from his father. He also told that my father and his friend Mr. Nirmal Attri specially trained me to perform well in discus throw. There was an atmosphere of happiness over the excellent performance of our former student Dhruv Tewatia in the 'Khelo India Youth Games'. School Manager Mr. Harish Kumar Sharma and Principal Mrs. Deepti Sharma expressed happiness over the excellent performance of their former student Dhruv Teotia in 'Khelo India Youth Games' and wished him a bright future to win the gold medal in the Olympic Games by performing its best.
