Description : One Day workshop of Capacity Building for Teachers on' New Education Policy(NEP-2020)' at The Divine Mother International School, Neemka, Uttar Pradesh. The event turned out to be a great experience for several teachers from different schools. There were four faculty members of Pragyan Public School, Jewar who participated in this program. It was an intriguing approach to make the teachers aware of the possibilities that a teacher can think of while entering the classroom. The principal of The Divine Mother International School, Mrs. Gunjan greeted all teachers with a warm welcome. The benign presence of Mrs. Rose Mary Gaikwad (Principal, Paul George Global School) and Dr. Saurabh Malhotra (Principal, Broadways International School) enlightened the teachers with their wise words. They touched upon the importance of the ethics and delved upon it through real life examples. Also Mr. Malhotra mentioned the key principals of NEP, teaching children through varying activities. The two principals also conducted an engrossed activity through a role play where each teacher participated not merely with an understanding of an individual but as a whole unit working together in order to carry out a desired goal. In other words, the activity highlighted the emphasis of community participation and its relevance in the contemporary classroom set up. Along with the activity, they also acknowledged the importance of learning through ICT, integrate children through the very essence of art and its varying facets and the holistic development through engaging the child in creative endeavours/activities.The teachers learned various techniques to be used in teaching learning process to drag out the learning outcomes in children. Indeed these types of training programs are beneficial for professional development of educators.
