Description : September 19, 2022, the students of Pragyan Public School, Jewar have brought glory to the school by winning eight medals in various disciplines of the block level open rural sports competitions. Under the district plan , the Youth Welfare and Regional Development Team, Gautam Budh Nagar,organised this block level competition at Janta Inter College, Jewar on September 19. In this competition, sections were divided for athletics, kabaddi, wrestling, volleyball and weightlifting etc. Players of Jewar participated under the guidance of Shri Gajendra Yadav, Head of Physical Education Department of Pragyan Public School, Jewar.The students performed their best, in which Hemant class-12 in athletics won gold medal in 800 meters race and 1500 meters race. In the wrestling competition, Gaurav class-12 won gold medal in 53kg category, Kaushal class-12 won gold medal in 65kg category and Gaurav class-11 won gold medal in 70kg category. The boys and girls volleyball teams of the school also performed brilliantly and won gold medals. The school Manager, Mr. Harish Kumar Sharma and the Principal Mrs. Deepti Sharma, expressed happiness over the excellent performance of the students in these competitions .They congratulated them and also motivated to move forward in the field of sports with their hard work.
